Behaviour Management Systems
Providing leadership, training and support in the effective management of behaviour in all environments.

About Us
BMS has trained over 100,000 practitioners in school boards, colleges, agencies and municipalities.
Practitioners learn that we need to learn the factors which influence a person’s ability to function in order to help them thrive.
-
What has their past been like?
-
What are some of their interests or positive influences?
-
What is their current situation at home, school and work?
-
Are there any negative factors that we can reduce or eliminate to support them?
In order to provide effective support, we need to form a positive relationship. Understanding the strengths and challenges being faced and collaborating with all parties involved in the person's life can help create a safe and supportive environment.
When people struggle to cope, staff can utilize their relationships to help identify the early warning signs. Ideally, we can provide support before a physical incident occurs. However, when needed, BMS staff can apply their training to help reduce the risks of injury for all involved. It's also important to note that BMS staff are trained to repair relationships and evaluate incidents to determine if there needs to be a change in the current plan after an incident.
Ultimately, the goal is to apply BMS training preventatively in order to maintain safety and comfort for all.
Behaviour Management Systems (BMS) are created by professional educators with the goal of reinforcing critical knowledge that will lead to the effective management of behaviour by prioritizing the safety of all. Dedicated to delivering a quality training that is focussed on establishing relationships as the key foundation, BMS is committed to working collaboratively with our clients to ensure we support and develop effective training that is applicable for their organization.
BMS is an established training platform that has been used as a core training program in 78% of School Boards in the province of Ontario and 75% of the English School Boards in Quebec. BMS is also highly implemented by other organizations including: municipalities, recreational facilities and private education.
BMS is proud to have trained more than 2100 trainers in the province that support the delivery of the training using various platforms resulting in 114,000 trained practitioners in their school boards, agencies and municipalities.
